Ottawa Fall Colours

This was my second time running the half marathon (2004 and 2007). They also have a 5K, 10K and full marathon. This is a smaller event held in the Ottawa countryside. The beautiful scenery makes up for the lack of crowds. The course is slightly hilly, so makes for a challenging end of season race. Some areas of improvement are the finishers’ medals and logistics of exiting the parking lot. The race organizers, Somersault Promotions, do a great job in accommodating runners.

La Classique du Parc Lafontaine

This is where my running career began. A no frills, old school race. No chip timing and no finishers’ medals, but very competitive and lots of history (dating back to 1949).
