Fall Fitness 

Start Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2020

We are excited to announce the start of our 12 week Fall training program Fall Fitness. This program will be geared towards new and beginning runners who are looking for accountability and guidance in a fun group atmosphere. Whether you are new to running or wanting to get back into routine, we want to help you reach your fitness and running goals in a fun and intelligent way. 

Training is about more than just running. It’s about balance, focus, having a purpose and finding community. We want our runners to be healthy, motivated and injury free. This is our number one priority! This training program will be for  participants wanting to finish or improve upon times in 5k and/or 10k events. Don’t want to race? That’s fine too! We want all participants to feel comfortable with training for a goal race or a personal fitness goal. For whatever, your purpose in running is, we will be there to meet you where you are and challenge you in new ways. 

This program will be led by Coach Alana Scarano, who is a USATF certified coach and has experience working with runners at a variety of levels. Will Rodgers, RunningLane Head Coach, will also be overseeing the program.

Program Features 

  • Tuesday and Thursday workouts with Coach Alana 

  • Weekend RunningLane community long runs

  • Weekly workout schedule for participants over the 8 week session

  • Workouts including fartleks, intervals, hill work and tempos

  • Sessions will feature dynamic warm up drills and proper cool down stretching routines

  • Coaching geared towards helping you achieve your running and fitness goals

  • Race strategy and goal setting preparation

If this time last year someone would have said to me, "By April 2016 you'll have run 3 5Ks and will be running 15 miles every week (and enjoying it!)," I'd have laughed and made a joke about being chased by a scary clown. But, here I am, just finished my 3rd 5K with a time a little bit better than the last.  I'm really glad RunningLane encourages beginners. As someone who has never run or even been very athletic, it's nice to have guidance and a place to get my questions answered. Big thanks to my coach, Michael for setting me up with a program that I can stick with and challenges me.  My program is just that…mine.  It is tailored to my fitness level and ability and having someone to check in with each week keeps me accountable. It’s working!  In 14 weeks with my coach and RunningLane my BMI has dropped 5 points, my cholesterol went from over 200 to 165, and my resting heart rate has lowered because my heart is healthier and happier!  Thank you, RunningLane!
