Wild Thangs Trail Series

This week marks the kick off of our second year of the Wild Thangs Trail Series. If you didn’t get to participate last year, we want to let you know a little more about our summer series. There are 4 races total in the series with both short and long race distances. Starting in June and finishing in August, these 4 races are designed to be competitive, help runners increase their race distances through the hot summer months, and most of all be a ton of fun. Enjoy the lovely views of Monte Sano featuring beautiful bluffs, gorgeous climbs and exciting creek crossings. 

If you are new to trails this is a great way to jump in. Even if you are an experienced trail runner, this series provides an opportunity to work on some shorter distances. Each race features a shorter and longer distance so that runners have the opportunity to compete at whatever distance they prefer. The Big Foot 5k/10k is sold out but the remainder of the races still have openings!

This year we also have a special guest. Musician, Hew Tyler will be performing at each of our Wild Thangs Races! Come join us starting this weekend, June 22 for some fun in the trails and a good time to follow.

Before I started running I was puffy and depressed with my kids were leaving me behind during playtime. So my friend suggests this coaching program, which is now RunningLane.  I was cautious at first, investing in something I was sure I couldn’t do, but in order to regain my health something had to be done.  Next thing I knew I was on the starting line of my first 5k!  The training that they provide is so wonderful, so supportive and so dedicated to working with my personal goals and fitting into my life.  I feel good about myself.  I have the confidence back to go out and do things that I want to do.  Thank you!!!
